About Tivolin

Why we started

Tivolin was founded in Patong, Phuket, by a small group of finance professionals and educators who noticed a recurring gap: many people around them — young workers, freelancers, couples — were managing real money without any structured support for doing so.

Thailand's financial landscape can be genuinely confusing, especially for those earning from multiple sources or navigating it alongside a partner. Most of the available resources were either too generic, too complicated, or designed for corporate environments. Tivolin was our answer to that.

We designed three specific programs — each one anchored in a real life stage — and committed to keeping them small, personal, and practical. Our sessions don't tell you what to do with your money. They help you understand your options and develop your own thinking.

Based a short walk from Patong Beach, we work with individuals and couples from across Phuket and the wider region, including expats, international residents, and Thai professionals whose work happens primarily in English.

Our mission

To make thoughtful financial education accessible to people navigating real-world income situations in Thailand — delivered at a pace and in a format that actually works for them.

Our values

  • Patience over pressure — learning at a human pace
  • Honesty about complexity — we don't oversimplify
  • Relevance to context — Thai financial realities, not generic theory

Standards

How we hold ourselves accountable

Qualified facilitation

All facilitators hold relevant financial education or counselling credentials and participate in ongoing professional development.

Confidentiality as standard

Everything discussed in sessions stays within the session. We never share participant details or financial information with third parties.

Curriculum reviewed regularly

Our materials are reviewed twice a year to reflect changes in Thai tax regulations, banking products, and general financial practice.

Small group policy

We maintain strict participant limits per cohort to ensure every person gets adequate time and attention within the group format.

No product sales

We do not sell financial products, earn referral commissions, or direct participants toward specific banks, funds, or investments. Our only income is program fees.

Feedback after every program

Each participant is invited to share feedback following their program. We use this to continually improve our format and content.

Our Approach

Structured understanding, built over time

Sound financial thinking develops gradually — through exposure to relevant concepts, honest reflection on current habits, and repeated application of new frameworks. At Tivolin, our programs are designed around that process rather than a checklist of topics to cover.

Working in Phuket gives us direct access to a diverse economic environment: a mix of tourism, international business, freelance work, and Thai employment structures. This diversity shapes our curriculum in concrete ways — we address the income patterns and banking options that are actually relevant to the people in our sessions.

We don't offer investment advice or direct participants toward specific financial products. Our focus is on financial literacy: understanding your income, your obligations, your goals, and the tools available to you within the Thai system. From that foundation, people are better equipped to make their own informed decisions.
